Stephen Hyde to Start Coaching, Fly New Colors for 2020/2021 Season – Cyclocross Magazine

U.S. Cyclocross star Stephen Hyde is making some big changes for the upcoming cyclocross season.

The three-time Cyclocross National Champ revealed on Instagram he’s “adding coaching to my quiver.”

Hope to #ridelikehyde? You might want to get in line to be one of his early clients. Hyde explained it’s something he’s “been working on for a long time.”

The second announcement might be a bigger surprise, as he’s leaving the Cannondale p/b CyclocrossWorld powerhouse team. “After five seasons on @cdalecxworld I was not offered a contract for the 20/21 season,” Hyde explained in a post filled with gratitude for the opportunity with the team.

Hyde won two Pan American titles and three USA Cycling Cyclocross National Championships while flying the Cannondale p/b CyclocrossWorld colors for five seasons.

Think the uncertain times and sponsorship will force the star into early retirement? Hyde put such fears to rest. “I’m not retiring,” he assures fans.
