Greece’s top cyclist Christos Volikakis won first place in the overall Omnium rankings at the UCI Track Cycling World Cup in Milton, Canada, securing his number one position in the world.
The Greek champion secured his first place position in the overall classification of the Omnium at the World Cup for the second consecutive year, winning the prestigious title on Sunday.
“Mission accomplished, after winning 1st place on the general classification of world cups, in Scratch Race, back2back world cup series 2019-2020 winner in omnium race. Tokyo 2020 🇯🇵✌🏻🙏 we are ready for you… 🇬🇷” posted Volikakis.

The Greek athlete is arguably the country’s greatest ever track cyclist with numerous world, European and national titles to his name.
The 31-year-old has become an international star on the cycling track and is expected to perform well at this year’s 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.
